Zbigniew Gieleciak M. Sc. Engineer Chairman, Regional Center for Water and Wastewater Management Co. in Tychy

Graduated from the Faculty of Mining Machinery at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and numerous postgraduate studies, including Patent Law at the University of Silesia, Corporate Finance Management at the University of Economics in Katowice, European Funds Project Management, Preparation and Management Public-Private Partnership Projects and Enterprise Mergers and Takeovers at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and School of Controlling.
Since 2001 Chairman at the Regional Center for Water and Wastewater Management Co. in Tychy (RCGW) and Chairman at the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tychy. President’s Representative for the implementation of the Wastewater Management for the City of Tychy project (MAO) in years 2006-2015 and advisor of the Tychy city mayor in the field of the road infrastructure, therein the modernization of the DK1 road in years 2010-2014.
Active participant in various counselling and expert teams, member of Foresight project team for Upper Silesian Metropolitan Area, member of the District Employment Council and Water Management Council of the District Water Management Board in Gliwice. Specialist in working group of National Smart Specialisations. The patent agent and the author of a few patents.
The winner of multiple awards and distinctions, such as the Golden Award granted by the Minister of the Environment and Minister of the Economy. Decorated with the “Knight’s Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland” for influence on the development of water management, as a notably meritorious person for the environment protection the country and with “Medal For Long-Time Service”. Honoured, as the Leader of the RCGW, with main, prestigious EMAS Awards 2015 received from European Commission, so called Environmental Oscar.
